There was a need for a well-organized cultivation calendar with which growers can schedule their production, given the wide variety of plants used in the organic flower production, to achieve continuous flower sales. This database should not only include sowing and flowering periods but also information with which growers are able to design a crop rotation to prevent plant diseases. PCS compiled a database containing information on 46 characteristics, within 11 categories, for more than 300 plants. This database was compiled with information obtained from seed suppliers, online research, own experiences, and input from organic flower growers. It is a working document that will be further updated and completed in the future with support of the growers.
